Projects

Small things built for the house, mostly on weekends. None of them are finished, and that is fine.

Balcony weather station

A small microcontroller with temperature, humidity and pressure sensors in a 3D printed enclosure on the balcony. It sends readings every minute to the home server, where they are stored and drawn as simple charts. The rain gauge is still a work in progress.

Photo sync script

A Python script that collects photos from the family phones, removes duplicates by content hash, sorts them into folders by date and copies them to the photo dataset. It runs nightly and sends a short summary of what was added.

Server status page

A tiny static status page generated every five minutes from Prometheus data. It shows uptime, disk usage, temperatures and the age of the latest backup on a single screen, so it can be checked from the kitchen tablet without opening Grafana.
